Goshawk is focused on exploration and development of its interests in Western Australia’s Canning Basin, with Goshawk licences containing multi-TCF gas and multi-hundred-million-barrel oil plays.
Goshawk holds seven petroleum exploration licences in the basin, covering approximately 35,700 km2 of licence area, making it one of the largest title holders in the Canning Basin.
Goshawk has identified high potential targets across its portfolio, including the Helvetica Prospect in EP 499.
The Helvetica Prospect is well defined by 2D seismic, and a shallow test well drilled in 1985 (Pandorea-1). Helvetica is estimated to contain 194 MM bbl oil (Best Estimate P50).
Goshawk plans to conduct a 300 km2 3D seismic survey in 2022 over the Helvetica Prospect, with the results of the survey to inform the location of a subsequent exploration well.
